VOLUNTEER PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR

Applications are invited for the position of Volunteer Performance Director. Reporting to the ICTSA National Executive the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of the High-Performance Programme and its day to day management.

Key role requirements:

Report to and work closely with the National Executive.

Develop and implement a 4-year High Performance strategic plan, with Tokyo 2020 as its final focus.

Advocate and represent Carded athletes with Sport Ireland.

Prepare quarterly performance evaluation reports for each athlete under the carding scheme.

Prepare annual competition and training programmes in conjunction with Sport Ireland and the Irish Institute of Sport.

Together with the NE, represent athletes and shooting sports matters with the Olympic Council of Ireland.

Act as team manager for all international events at which the programme participates including the Olympic Games.

Programme point of contact for Coaching Ireland.

Develop squad coaching and training sessions and to deliver the coaching programme.

Engage and liaise with external service providers such as coaches, sports science and medical personnel.

Develop an individualised and period based High Performance plan for the World Class athletes.

Negotiate individual carding and High-Performance programme funding.

Attend regular performance workshops and meetings to allow oversight by Sport Ireland and the Olympic Council of Ireland.

A competency based interview will form part of this selection process. It is anticipated to hold interviews on the 16th November 2017. Candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of experience and/or application/CV.
