We are sad to hear of the passing of Paddy O’Reilly
Paddy O'Reilly, Belturbet , co Cavan, represented Ireland on the DTL INTERNATIONAL senior team, consecutively from 1980-1994, being a member of the victorious 1991, and 1993 teams. He captained the team in 1986, and was the manager of the victorious 1995 team.
His greatest achievement was winning the ulster open single barrel competition in 1990, with the perfect score 100/100
He was a member of the DTL veterans/senior veterans team from 1996-2006 , being a member of the victorious team which won the gold medal at the 1998 European championships, and the silver medal at the 1999 world championships.
Paddy will be sadly missed by his son Paul, who too represented Ireland in DTL, and ABT, at junior level.
Pre-deceased by his wife Brenda, parents Jack and Molly, sisters Alva , and Winnifred, and brother Michael.
