We welcome Jeffrey McCready as High Performance Director
Dear Member,
We are pleased to announce the formation of the ICTSA High Performance Council. The purpose of this council is to ensure a clear route to the ultimate destination of our Sport; the Olympics. We, the National Executive, are committed to providing the necessary structures for our athletes to succeed at the very top level of Sport. This progressive move is unprecedented, and we look forward to the positive impact it will have on the Sport at all levels throughout the association.
The High Performance Council, which is the first of its kind in Irish Clay Target Shooting, comprises of a diverse 4-piece council, including an independent seat from outside of the Sport:
- Jeffrey McCready - High Performance Director and Head Coach
- Independent Seat - TBC
- Declan McQuillan - ISSF International Coaching Licence (class B)
- Nicola Elder – National Executive Representative
“The new High Performance Council provides an excellent platform from which we can see Irish athletes reassert themselves at the highest levels of Olympic shooting. As both Performance Director & Head Coach I am looking forward to the transformational challenges ahead. My thanks to the ICTSA Board for embracing this initiative and placing their trust in me to lead the Team through the next Olympic Games in Paris, 2024.”
