A big weekend for DTL in the National Shooting Grounds Esker, with some big scores put in across the board!
Ronan Morris kicked off the weekend winning the Famous Grouse with a perfect 100/300.
Paddy Peters won the Gold Cup on Sunday, out of 194 guns; the only competitor to punch in that faultless 100/300, with Bernard Cassidy, Kevin Purcell and Stephen Miller all shooting 299.
90 of Sunday's competitors put in scores of 290 or over, and 31 of the 73 competitors in Saturday's Famous Grouse did the same - which shows the strength in shooting talent we have on the island, and also the hard work put in by the team at the National Shooting Grounds to throw clean, fair and consistent targets.
A huge thank you goes out to the NSG committee : Gerry Lawless, Matt Sheedy, Gary Cunningham and Lyndon O'Rourke, and all the team they have around them to not only maintain, but in fact grow Esker into the special venue it is.
